Mark Flaherty: Welcome everyone to InetSoft’s webinar on what is new in the Version 11.1 release of Style Intelligence with the highlight being advances in mobile BI. My name is Mark Flaherty, and I am head of marketing here at InetSoft, and with me is Byron Igoe, Principal Technologist.

Our agenda today is pretty brief. We will start with a little bit of an overview of the company so everyone has a common background and understanding of our product offering at a high level, and we will stress the new highlights of the Version 11.1 release. Then we are going to demo the version. We will give you an overview of the product as well as highlight what's new. And at the end we will have time for questions and answers so go ahead and type your questions in the q&a panel to your right that you see there on the GoTo Webinar panel.

So here is a quick slide about the InetSoft the company. We have been around since ’96, and now the company is over 125 employees in three locations around the world. The product offering is sold to both enterprise customers for their internal use, for the internal BI and dashboard and reporting needs as well as an OEM solution.

There are many solutions providers that embed our technology to provide the dashboard or visualization layer to whatever solution they are offering. And as a horizontal solution you can see we have customers in all kinds of different industries and solution providers who also serve the different industries just the same.

Now a little bit about the philosophy that goes into our product development. and how it translates into benefits for you all. We aim for the software to be easy, agile and robust. By easy that means making the deployment of the software as easy as possible, have it up and running in matter of weeks and not months or a year like of some of the more complicated BI solutions out there.

You don’t need BI consultants to get our BI application up and running. Just the knowledge of databases and your network environment is sufficient. It is also very important for business users that the BI software needs to be very easy to use. We aim to make it so. We have different levels of self-service that are possible. Some things are very easy personalization steps, point-and-click kind of capabilities. Another level enables more sophisticated users, people who are comfortable doing Excel analysis, to do a little more with the software.

Our BI solution is a Web-based solution as you may already know, so it doesn’t acquire any special client on the desktop or device. With either a Flash player or a browser with JavaScript capability, our BI software works. Also the licensing is aimed to be easy too because with larger deployments it's a CPU based licensing model so you don’t need to worry about per-user licensing.

Agility is a big thing for us. I mentioned already things like end-user self-service. That’s a major factor certainly for business agility. More complicated analysis is possible, and you can quickly build your own dashboards and reports. It is key that this process not be complicated, and is easy and quick.

Data mashup is a big component of our agility, too, and we will talk about that some more throughout the presentation. It is one of our big differentiators when compare to different dashboard and reporting systems out there. At the simplest level this data mashup means being able to combine different data sources that haven’t already been brought together in a ETL process in a data warehouse.

Our data mashup software can access almost any data source directly. With a drag and drop interface, you can make connections between data sources and create that single unified view of corporate performance. And also this kind of capability allows for adaptability to changes and data needs. It lets you make experimental changes to your BI environment and experiment with the kind of data you want to analyze. You can use it to either as a replacement or accompaniment to a data warehousing environment.
