InetSoft Announces Web Reporting Software Application Style Report Version 5.0
Piscataway, NJ – June 1, 2003 - InetSoft Technology, a leading provider of reporting solutions, has released version 5.0 of Style Report™. This major release improves upon Style Report’s integration oriented design by adding many critical components that allow for advanced integration. Style Report™ users can now fully leverage their existing technology and investment for critical enterprise reporting and business intelligence applications.
Style Report™ 5’s JSP tag library provides intuitive Web embedded reports for JSP pages through the JSP Standard Tag Library mechanism. The Open standard based nature and simplicity of this technology ensures that anyone familiar with writing Web pages can utilize the powerful information delivery and analytic capabilities provided by Style Report™. End users are able to harness dynamic information in a way that is far beyond static Web pages without losing the advantages offered by a zero client Web browser.
Portal integration is another major feature for this release. Reports created by Style Report™ are all automatically ready to be deployed as part of a portal interface. Based on J2EE portal standards, deployment of Style Report™ into J2EE servers, such as Weblogic and Websphere servers, requires only a few simple clicks. Portals integrated with these new, powerful Style Report™ components will truly become the central information cockpits they are designed to be.
Web services and SOAP interfaces expose powerful Style Report™ Web capabilities to an even wider audience. Regardless of the platform or languages of information consuming sources, Style Report™ serves information in many flexible formats through common protocols for both integrated applications and human consumption.
New Basic scripting is another milestone in Style Report’s focus on universal access to information. Anybody who is familiar with basic scripting environments such as MS Office can produce advanced, dynamic reports that would otherwise require IT involvement. IT staff with VB backgrounds will automatically become advanced Style Report™ programmers. Style Report™ users will realize instant productivity gains in both IT and non-IT departments.
“In today’s tough market, our customers are demanding to do more with less. Style Report™’s new features are designed with exactly such goals in mind,” said Luke Liang, VP of Marketing. “Style Report™ 5.0 will cost less to train, develop, and deploy. Style Report™ 5.0 drops into existing infrastructure, thereby eliminating the need for additional hardware and software or an increase in administration costs. Style Report™ can deliver more with less time and money investments, all because of our fundamental belief in the importance of open standards-based integration.”
