What Is New in InetSoft's Business Intelligence Software

Below is the transcript of a Webinar hosted by InetSoft on the topic of New Features in Version 11 of InetSoft's Style Intelligence BI Software. The presenters are Mark Flaherty, CMO at InetSoft, and Sarah Foster, Product Manager at InetSoft.

Mark Flaherty (MF): Thanks again for joining us today. We are going to spend a few minutes with some slides on the background of InetSoft and our business intelligence software. Everyone is going to have a good overview, even if this is the first time you’re seeing our software.

Then we will jump into the demonstration portion of the Webinar. We’ll focus on what's new in this new version of our BI software that just came out this past month. And then I will give you a little bit of an overview of the application for those participants who have not seen the software yet.

So with that, let me give you some background on the company. InetSoft has been around for some time. It started 15 years ago, and the company has grown steadily over time, and now we are up to over 120 employees in couple of locations around the world. And our customer base is quite diverse.

We offer software to enterprises, who want to provide a BI solution for their end-users right out of the box and also offer software for OEM and solution providers, SaaS providers or ASPs and you can see a few of the logos of some of our customers and partners here.

So next, I wanted to give some background on our philosophy on how we develop our BI software and what we are aiming to achieve. And it's a lot having to do with trying to overcome all the challenges that existed with some of the older BI Solutions, ones that you may know of and have experience with, ones that traditionally have been complex and inflexible, ones that have taken months, if not, over a year to be deployed. And during that long of a timeframe, people have often found that their requirements have changed, by the time the solution has been deployed. Then they have had to go back to the beginning of the complex requirements process to update the infrastructure.

Also, some solutions out there have been built by acquisition and led to a fragmented user experience and you do not really know what application you need to be using at a given time. Also the original BI solutions aren’t known for offering high levels of self-service, and that is something we really aim to overcome. And I mentioned it before, but being able to adapt to changes, being able to add new data sources or even let end-users add their own data sources, that hasn’t been a hallmark of the original BI solutions. Neither has been giving the ability for a self-service kind of exploration of the data, something that’s a key feature for our software.

What Are the Benefits of Having a Unified Business Intelligence Solution

First and foremost, a unified BI solution aggregates data from disparate sources into a single, centralized platform, providing stakeholders with a comprehensive view of the organization's performance. This consolidation of data eliminates silos and ensures that decision-makers have access to accurate and up-to-date information, enabling them to make more informed and timely decisions. By streamlining data access and analysis, a unified BI solution enhances operational efficiency and enables organizations to respond quickly to changing market conditions and business opportunities.

A unified BI solution facilitates data integration and interoperability, allowing different departments and teams within an organization to share and collaborate on insights more effectively. By breaking down data silos and fostering collaboration across functional areas, organizations can gain deeper insights into their operations, identify cross-functional dependencies, and drive alignment towards common goals. This cross-functional visibility enables organizations to optimize processes, allocate resources more efficiently, and enhance overall performance.

A unified BI solution enables organizations to leverage advanced analytics and predictive modeling techniques to gain deeper insights and uncover hidden patterns and trends within their data. By applying machine learning algorithms and statistical models to large datasets, organizations can identify correlations, forecast future outcomes, and generate actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. Whether it's predicting customer behavior, optimizing supply chain operations, or identifying emerging market trends, advanced analytics capabilities empower organizations to stay ahead of the competition and drive innovation.

A unified BI solution enhances data governance and security by establishing standardized data management policies and procedures across the organization. By centralizing data storage and access controls, organizations can ensure data consistency, integrity, and confidentiality, thereby reducing the risk of data breaches and compliance violations. With built-in auditing and monitoring capabilities, a unified BI solution enables organizations to track data usage and enforce compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.

A unified BI solution empowers organizations to adapt and scale their analytics capabilities to meet evolving business needs and challenges. Whether it's expanding into new markets, integrating acquisitions, or launching new products and services, organizations can leverage their unified BI platform to quickly deploy new analytics applications and scale their infrastructure to support growing data volumes and user populations. By providing a flexible and scalable analytics environment, a unified BI solution enables organizations to drive agility, innovation, and growth in today's fast-paced business landscape.
