A few months ago we were approached by our neighbors at the Division of Youth and Family Services (DYFS) about participating in the Giving Tree Program – an annual program aimed at collecting gifts for children in the State of New Jersey who are really in need.

The way it works is you display a Christmas tree at your workplace throughout the fall months. Then everyone pulls an ornament off the tree with the name of a child who is at risk of being abused or neglected and gets him or her the most awesome present they can think of. The gifts are then wrapped up and handed out in December to brighten up the holidays for these tots.

We were so happy to have participated in this year’s program! We all had a blast picking out gifts, and in some cases testing them out. Our Marketing VP Mark was even cool enough to get presents for three different kids AND the batteries to go along with them!

And even though the program is technically over, there’s still time to be a part of it. If you’re in New Jersey, reach out to Sharyn Bonfonti at 732-546-8544 and ask how your office can bring a little joy to those in need this upcoming holiday season.
