Google Analytics Data Usage Policy for InetSoft's BI Application

Style Intelligence is InetSoft's on-premise BI application that is installed in a client's network. It is not hosted by InetSoft, therefore the Google Analytics data that it accesses for dashboards, reports, and visualizations is held only by the client, not by InetSoft.

InetSoft Technology connects to Google Analytics data using OAuth2 authentication. This is a secure authentication method, which means that users never have to use a Style Intelligence password, as the authentication happens on a Google-hosted webpage.

InetSoft uses the Google Analytics Reporting API to execute queries that have been defined by the user. The results of these queries are stored for later use. This API gives users, not InetSoft, access to most of the report data in Google Analytics.
