Consumer Lender Whitebridge Financial Selects InetSoft's Style Intelligence for Dashboards and Reporting
Reasons for selection include ability to solve data management problems and greater options for interactivity
Piscataway, NJ ' June 9, 2015 ' InetSoft Technology, a pioneer in data intelligence, analytics and reporting, has announced that consumer finance provider Whitebridge Financial has selected InetSoft's Style Intelligence to create integrated dashboards and reports featuring data from several third party finance applications.
Whitebridge Financial's decision to select Style Intelligence came after a head to head comparison with another leading BI application provider. Whitebridge's management wanted interactive dashboards for portfolio analysis, and found that InetSoft's featured date sliders for picking date ranges made a big difference in allowing executives to explore their data dynamically. The competitor's application required users to manually enter a low and high date, slowing down the process of exploration.
The capability to produce properly formatted, pixel perfect, paginated reports was also a requirement, since Whitebridge has a parent company which it reports to. The competitor's solution only allowed users to do a screen grab; there was no feature which provided reports that were perfectly formatted. On the other hand, InetSoft's reporting engine allowed paginated reports to be seamlessly integrated with interactive exploratory dashboards.
Whitebridge was already using two separate third-party finance software applications: a loan origination analysis application to aid with the decisions of which loans to buy, and a loan servicing module to monitor collections over the life of the loan. They wanted a way to create an integrated system from these applications, one that reduced the need for dual entry. InetSoft's robust data layer and mashup capabilities allowed this to be done with a maximum amount of flexibility for both database developers and end users.
'I was wondering if the design of my databases would make sense to a management kind of person, who would be using them for ad hoc reports,' explains Jim Balint, Director of Technology at Whitebridge. 'But InetSoft's logical models enable me to map different attributes by ids as opposed to embedding the actual text of the table column. So I now have the freedom to design my databases with traditional relational structures and then substitute those attributes in by mapping to their corresponding values in the underlying tables. That's really powerful.'
