InetSoft Announces Web Reporting Software Application Style Report Version 5.1
Piscataway, NJ – - InetSoft Technology has released version 5.1 of Style Report™. This minor release focuses on significant performance increases, a new charting engine, new report design and development tools, and features resulting in a higher overall level of reporting.
Style Report 5.1’s internal reporting engine has been enhanced to increase overall performance vis-à-vis larger batch reports, smaller real-time reports, and higher numbers of concurrent user accesses. Report caching is the biggest bottleneck in regards to how fast a report can be run. InetSoft has addressed this issue, which many reporting vendors face, by carefully examining report caching overhead while taking into account multiple server configurations.
A new charting engine is another major feature for this release. The new charting engine was totally rewritten from the ground up, adding new chart types and enhancing the originals. The charting engine now contains 30 chart types including bar, line, pie, radar, and more. It is also suitable for embedding charts in other ISV's applications.
Report development time is a critical factor for IT management in any firm. The time and complexity necessary to develop the reports required by corporations today is increasing. Style Report’s enhancements in version 5.1 have tackled this need head on. Live Edit is a new feature that allows developers to view live data on a report while editing it instead of flipping back and forth from design to preview.
Hot Deploy allows report developers to easily deploy reports to either a local or remote server with a few mouse clicks. Along with the enhancements made to the interface to allow for ease of development, Style Report now includes CSS support, such that a consistent look and feel can be maintained between reports.
