Version 11.1 Release Notes

Introduction

Version 11.1 is a minor release. It includes the following enhancements to version 11.0:

• iOS device support
• Advanced computations within Viewsheets
• Support for multiple environments in Style Studio
• Other enhancements

iOS Device Support

Viewsheet dashboards can now be used with iOS devices (iPad, iPhone), and are rendered natively using HTML5 technology on these devices. Dashboard design still requires Visual Composer in a Flash-enabled environment, and dashboards deployed in such environments continue to use Flash technology.

Advanced Computations within Viewsheets

The addition of pre-aggregate and post-aggregate computations within Viewsheets allows developers to greatly streamline their Worksheet designs.

Support for Multiple Environments in Style Studio

Style Studio benefits from improved handling of multiple environments, including the ability to open and save reports directly to a remote repository in another environment. Developers can also export assets to a JAR package directly from Style Studio, without using Enterprise Manager.

Other Enhancements

The following enhancements are also included:

• Display of aggregate values within Viewsheet Selection Lists (as text or as a graphical "bar").
• In-place drill-down within Viewsheet Charts and Crosstabs.
• Support for drag-and-drop binding of multiple data sources in Style Studio formula tables.
• Use of Materialized Views in Visual Composer to improve design-time performance.
