Cites ease of use and reusability of reports as chief reasons for selection
Piscataway, NJ – November 11, 2014 - InetSoft Technology, a pioneer in mashup-driven Big Data analytics and reporting, reports that New Zealand-based education software provider Assembly has integrated InetSoft’s Style Intelligence into its cloud-based student management system, complete with both publishable reports and interactive visualizations.
Assembly is a school management system designed specifically for New Zealand schools. Its administrative and student portals offer interactive dashboards for student data exploration and precisely formatted reports for parents, school boards, and the Ministry of Education. This web-based system is currently being used by over 430 New Zealand schools. Prior to partnering with InetSoft, Assembly was delivering administrative reports via a competitor’s product. This covered some of their needs, but what was lacking was the ability to provide “caregiver reports”, reports individually produced by each student’s teacher, summarizing the various metrics of each student’s achievement. In order to do this, they needed a reporting solution with which they could create a master report and put a data report underneath it. Thanks to InetSoft’s robust Data Block and report template technology, Style Intelligence was the only software evaluated with which this could be done both easily and quickly.
Assembly’s student management systems offers more than just reports; Assembly has now become a leader in education platforms by offering its schools interactive student performance and administrative dashboards, which can be visually explored and even modified with very little training. “We’ve demonstrated some of the visualizations for the Ministry of Education (of New Zealand), and they are very impressed with the way that our platform allows educators to interact with their student data,” explains Jan Gunn, General Manager of Assembly. “They have expressed that they find that this kind of productive visualization technology is not available in other educational platforms that are in use throughout the school system.”
“Seeing our technology being applied to help improve the educational development of children is rewarding for a software development firm like us,” comments Mark Flaherty, Chief Marketing Officer at InetSoft. “And having a market leader such as Assembly choose us because of capabilities not found among the dozens of competitive options available makes for an interesting case study to share with other cloud solution providers.”
